I’m Aranya Sen, an internationally acclaimed photographer born in Kolkata, India. My work is driven by a profound understanding of the human condition, capturing the extraordinary within the ordinary. Through my lens, I strive to reveal universal truths that often go unnoticed—whether it’s a fleeting smile, a moment of solidarity, or a glimpse of vulnerability. My mission is simple yet powerful: to move people with the intimate quality of my frames. Over the years, my dedication to photography has earned me global recognition. One of my iconic works, capturing three blind beggars helping each other cross a bustling road in Kolkata, won the prestigious MILK (Moments of Intimacy, Laughter, and Kinship) international award from New Zealand. This poignant photograph, celebrating the enduring spirit of friendship and compassion, was featured in HarperCollins' global album and exhibited in a world tour starting in New York in 2001. My photographs have been showcased in some of the most esteemed venues worldwide, captivating audiences with their depth and storytelling power. My work has also been published in leading newspapers and magazines across India, each exhibition adding to my growing legacy as a storyteller who speaks through images. Through my photography, I aim to connect with universal emotions that transcend barriers of language, religion, and nationality, leaving a lasting impression on hearts and minds across the globe.
