One of the defining moments of my career came with the prestigious MILK (Moments of Intimacy, Laughter, and Kinship) International Award from New Zealand. My photograph, capturing a powerful moment of three blind beggars helping each other cross a bustling street in Kolkata, resonated with audiences worldwide. This image—an enduring symbol of friendship, compassion, and human resilience—was featured in a HarperCollins album and became part of a global exhibition tour that debuted in New York in 2001. The universal appeal of this image continues to inspire people across continents, reminding us of the shared bonds that unite us all.
